What Is Fitness?
If you have a desire to become
more fit, start by asking yourself
“what does fitness mean to me?”
Every person will have a different
answer, but the first step in
deciding to become more fit is to
decide what it means to you. Once
you have the answer you can start
the process of setting a goal and
implementing a program that will
work for you.

Why do you need a Personal Trainer?
Most people will agree that your
fitness program needs to fit your
lifestyle. If not, you will probably
not continue with it. A personal
trainer will help you design your
perfect exercise program. A personal
trainer will design program where
you will succeed and have the
motivation to continue with your
fitness program. Whether you’re new
to exercise or a conditioned
athlete, a personal trainer can
design your program so you will
succeed.

Why Core?
As a trainer I often get asked
why train core? Why not just
strengthen the muscle? Core training
has valuable contributions in sport,
fitness, and injury
rehab/prevention. It can be one of
the most successful tools for
athletes and clients. Core training
adds variety to the traditional
weight training program.

CONFIDENCE - Do You Have It?
Confidence in ourselves is needed

and that this something must be
attained. When it comes to fitness

heart.

The Importance of Goal Setting
Many people never set goals in
their lives, they only dream about
doing something. Dreams are good,
but to actually make them come true
one must set goals and create plans
to achieve these goals. Plans are
step-by-step procedures of how one
will achieve their ultimate goal.
Within a plan, you will have
milestones to monitor how well you
are doing. Based upon the monitoring
of your mile stone tasks, you will
have to make adjustments in order to
achieve the final goal.

Women and Calories
How many calories a woman needs
depends on various factors;
including height, total body weight,
ratio of fat to muscle, age, gender,
genes and physical exercise.
Focusing on two components; Basal
Metabolic Rate (BMR) and physical
exercise; will reasonably and
accurately assess a woman’s basic
caloric needs. Basal metabolic rate
is a short way of saying "the amount
of energy (calories) you need to
keep your body functioning while at
rest." A body needs a minimum number
of calories to maintain the millions
of chemical reactions, which keep
eyes, lungs, heart, liver, kidneys
etc. in healthy working order. Over
half the calories needed by most
women fuel these basic bodily
functions.

Guaranteed Success = Mental Fitness +
Physical Fitness
Fitness comes in different forms.
There is mental fitness and physical
fitness. When the two types of
fitness are in harmony, one is in
their peak of fitness. In order to
be able to work out physically, one
must be mentally willing. Mentally
willingness can be either
self-motivation or external
motivation.
